Canada's first music festival to ban native headdresses

After H&M and some other fashion brands had some issues with the native inspired items they had on the market, Canada will held the first music festival there you won't be allowed to wear feathers, native headbands and war paint. This is what Bass Coast Festival would say in their release:

"Bass Coast Festival takes place on indigenous land and we respect the dignity of aboriginal people. We have consulted with aboriginal people in British Columbia on the issue and we feel our policy aligns with their views and wishes regarding the subject. Their opinion is what matter to us."

Though some might take the native accessory as a fashionable item, the feather headdresses are more than that, considered an item of very spiritual importance worn by honored aboriginal men.

Here are some pictures with the fashion industry's latest controversial moves on the native issue.
